Tash makes stories about human experiences. Her images connect a brand and their audience, creating understanding and motivation for their purpose and vision. Her work applies visual techniques that result in depth and character and are created through her ability to interact with people and an awareness of unique light and composition.
Tash loves travelling and once rode a horse solo around Mongolia. She’s heard the chanting of monks at sunrise and swum in ice-cold canyons. She interacts with, and photographs people everywhere to understand more about their culture. Along with assignments Tash works on self-directed projects shot on film with a large-format camera, a process she likens to “pressing pause on the world” and one that allows her to notice the subtleties in the images she’s creating. This method allows those she photographs to participate in the creation of images notable for their intimacy and authenticity. Her work offers the viewer a unique opportunity to encounter another person on their own terms.
Tash has worked with a range of clients including: The New York Times. Colenso BBDO. Air BnB The Guardian Australia Saatchi Design. Karen Walker. Citta. Case Da Abitare. Home magazine. Here magazine.
